Retired with 41 years of contributions, at any age and without check cuts: the trade union diktat

Cold, after the first of a series of meetings at the Ministry of Labor, the unions come out on the reform of the pension system.

The firm points

Among the various fixed points, there are a couple that closely concern many school workers, because they would represent important lowered thresholds for leaving work and without particular reductions in the retirement allowance (just what many teachers and Ata ask around 60 years): the Confederals ask to let everyone out with 41 years of contributions (for men it would be almost two years before) or with 62 years and 20 years of contributions (a more advantageous advance than the current ‘Quota 100’).

Even more because in both cases, the pension allowance should not necessarily be subject to the “coupon” of the contribution system.

Landini and the refusal to calculate all contributions

“No”, a possible proposal to link retirement flexibility to a fully contributory calculation “is not good,” he said the general secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini, speaking to Agora on Rai three.

“We – continued the ex-Fiom – want a true and comprehensive reform of the system. The confrontation has begun, we will judge the government on the basis of the answers it will give ”.

We showed up on the same platform a year ago “, which, among other things, focuses on a “flexible exit at 62 with 20 years of contributions, 41 years of contributions for all”.

“Salvini invented Quota 100: it lasts three years and then disappears”

“This – the CGIL leader continued – is the discussion we want to do,” said Landini. Quote 41, he continued, “is within the CGIL, CISL and UIL platforms.”

Landini then beat the leader of the League: “it is a request that we have also made to Salvini, to which he did not reply. Quota 100 was invented which lasts three years and then disappears“.

The CGIL also aims to recognize “differences for women and care work, heavy work”, to re-evaluate existing pensions and make a law on non self-sufficiency.

Furlan (Cisl): no to downward checks on checks

It echoed him the secretary general of the CISL, Annamaria Furlan: speaking in Milan, on the sidelines of the union general council of Lombardy, he said that the goal is to take “the thread of the path that we had already given ourselves with the Gentiloni government, therefore the immediate start of the two commissions, the one for to scientifically examine, obviously, the seriousness of all the work and that to separate assistance and social security, then the opening of very significant and important thematic tables, such as creating a guarantee pension for young people “.

“We have made very clear proposals – said Furlan again -: first of all after 41 years of work and contributions, the possibility of retiring, regardless of age. Then start discussing the flexibility when leaving the age of 62, without obviously affecting pension counts that they are absolutely negative for male and female workers. In this regard, I remember that over a quarter of pensioners today are under 1,000 euros, so if you absolutely have to take this into account “.

For women an extra year of contributions per child

The unionist said there is an answer to “working women. Our proposal is one year of contributions for each child of a working woman“.

A proposal could also find a bank in the government: just a few days ago, it had been Francesca Puglisi (Pd), Undersecretary to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, to speak of the institution of the bonus mom, with “one year more contributions to mothers for each child”, Without limiting itself to two, as had been proposed in the hypotheses advanced in the past without then coming to fruition.

“Motherhood is a social good – Furlan urged -, it is not just an individual choice of the person”

Here is the technical commission on the reform

Meanwhile, it has been named the technical commission on pension reform: the Minister of Labor, Nunzia Catalfo, signed the decree establishing the technical study table on social security issues which is entrusted with the task of defining guidelines and measures to reform the pension system “.

The table, chaired by Catalfo, is composed of professor Paola Bozzao and doctor Concetta Ferrari representing the Ministry of Labor, to which are added four experts: prof. Giovanni Geroldi, prof. Stefano Giubboni, dr. Roberto Riverso and prof. Massimiliano Tancioni.

The table is also composed by prof. Marco Leonardi and dr. Federico Giammusso representing the Ministry of Economy, by the cons. Alessandro Goracci representing the Department for Public Administration and two INPS representatives.

“Thanks to the synergistic work between this body – Catalfo has kept saying – the two commissions foreseen by the Budget Law (the one on heavy work and the one for the separation between social security and welfare expenditure) and the technical tables with the unions that will be started the week next we will give the country a structural and ten-year pension reform “.
