Four wild boars in A14, two swept away by vehicles – Marche

                      <p>(ANSA) - CUPRA MARITTIMA (ASCOLI PICENO), JANUARY 26 - Four wild boars, probably on the run from a hunting trip, entered the A14 motorway at km 295 today, in the territory of Cupra Marittima, after having demolished the fence and the net placed to close the soundproofing barriers. They crossed the two carriageways, overcoming the new jersey barriers: two immediately moved away into the surrounding fields, the other two instead were hit, the first by a car, died instantly, the second, by a heavy vehicle, is seriously injured. On the spot, a patrol of the Porto San Giorgio Motorway Subsection, which managed to slow down and stop the traffic for about ten minutes. The injured animal, which was located in the center of the south carriageway, was killed. Just over a year ago, on the night between 2 and 3 January 2019 in A1 near Lodi, a similar episode caused a road accident with the death of a young man and several serious injuries, including 3 children.<br/>   </p></div>
