Anderlecht and Standard qualified this weekend for the final of the Belgian Women’s Football Cup.
On Saturday, Anderlecht won Genk 0-3 in the first semifinal. Tine De Caigny (68th and 81st) and Elke Van Gorp (68th) scored the goals for Anderlecht.
Standard Femina emerged victorious in the second semifinal on Sunday, winning 0-1 on the field of La Gantoise, following an own goal from a player from Ghent. It was a remake of last season’s final, won by La Gantoise Ladies.
The final will take place on Sunday April 19 (3:00 p.m.). The location of the final will be announced later, the Belgian Federation said on Monday.
It will be the 19th final for Anderlecht, who holds the Cup victory record with 10 wins, the last in 2013. Standard, which will play its 15th final, has eight trophies. The Liege women have not lifted the Cup since 2018.
