Amandine Henry, captain of the French women's football team and Olympique Lyonnais player, will preside the jury of the Miss France 2020 election organized on December 14 in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), live on TF1, announced Tuesday the channel.

The stars of the song Mareva Galanter (Miss France 1999), Vitaa and Slimane, the host Denis Brogniart, the actress Laetitia Milot, the pastry chef Christophe Michalak will complete the jury, along with Robbie Williams, guest of honor of the election of the "beauty queen".

Thirty candidates aged 18 to 24 are vying to succeed Miss France 2019, Vaimalama Chaves, Miss Tahiti 2018. For the 25th time, Jean-Pierre Foucault will present the ceremony held this year in his hometown.

According to TF1, the 2019 election won the second highest audience of the year with 7.5 million viewers. At the time of the coronation, 9 million viewers were gathered.

Saturday night on France 2, Laurent Ruquier called for a boycott of the ceremony: "if we want to be a feminist, we must boycott today the Miss France contest, it will be a good start!", he says in his show "We're not lying".

"Since we must stop to look at women as objects, stop judging them on their physique, and systematically favor the nicest (…) We can not stand the election Miss France is you must be logical! ", he said.
