«I have decided, first, to renew all the members of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal. In the following hours the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, in agreement with all the political forces, will establish the procedures for this », said the president in the framework of a press conference this November 10.
He also called to lower the tension, to peace. «I make a call for respect between families, respect for private property, respect for the authorities, respect for all social sectors. All we have in Bolivia is the heritage of the Bolivian people, ”said Evo Morales, indicating that he asks everyone to guarantee peaceful coexistence and end violence for the good of all.
Previously, the Organization of American States (OAS) through a statement, published on November 10 on its website, urged to cancel the results of the elections of October 20 in Bolivia and call new elections in the face of the tense situation that is lived in this Latin American country, after the victory of the current head of state between allegations of fraud by the opposition.
From the OAS they have mentioned that there is still the detailed final report regarding these elections and they have stressed that constitutional mandates should not be interrupted, including that of President Evo Morales.
In addition, the General Secretariat of this organization has reiterated the call to avoid the overflows of violence and has transferred its solidarity with the Bolivian people.
