TheOM made a double blow in one evening. This Sunday with OL's visit to the Velodrome stadium, the Mediterranean club has broke his historic affluence record, according to the final figure communicated by the Professional Football League, 65,421 spectators in stands. Almost 99% of the total commercial capacity of the Marseilles precinct was occupied. Never Olympique de Marseille had done as well, it is better than OM – PSG disputed in February 2017, in front of 65 252 people.
OM – OL beats a record attendance and raises Marseille to the top of the championship
Thanks to this massive presence last night, Marseille gets up on Monday with the second place in Ligue 1 sports (behind Paris), and the first in the ranking of affluences, with an average now increased to 51,171, against 48,796 before Olympico . OM doubles as OL, 50 128 spectators this season 2019-20 at Groupama Stadium. Lyon, however, retains an advantage over Marseille, at the level of the occupation of its stadium: it is at almost 88% against 77% at the Velodrome. The showcase of Marseille is – remember – the largest capacity in Ligue 1.
