A traffic accident caused big caps on theA11 since 13:20 this Tuesday, November 12, 2019, enter Paris and Le Mans (Sarthe), in the direction of Nantes.
A 38-year-old man, the driver of the vehicle, died on the spot. A 4-year-old boy, also present in the vehicle, was slightly injured.
For more than 45 minutes, the vehicles were stopped just after exit 5 La Ferte-Bernard, up to the new municipality of Cherre-In.
A vehicle was stopped on the roof in the left lane at kilometer point 132. Two out of three lanes of traffic were long neutralized.
A Samu helicopter on the spot
Six fire trucks from La Ferte-Bernard and Vibraye, officiated on the spot, near the gendarmerie of Sarthe.
The Smur du Mans was also dispatched to the scene. Just like a Samu helicopter.
The machine was able to land in a field, along the highway on the departmental road 98, direction Saint-Maixent. This made it possible to avoid the cut of the highway. The helicopter took off again at 3 pm, with no casualties on board.

The child present in the accident vehicle, a 4-year-old boy, slightly injured, was transported to pediatric emergencies at the Le Mans hospital.
While traffic on the A11 resumed slowly.
