Lyon: the message of Marin, three years after his violent aggression while defending a couple

MIRACULÉ – Three years after having come close to death by being violently attacked, Marin, a young Lyonnais whose history had moved France, today says "(to) rebuild" and "to try to find (his) new place in society ".

"I wish this sad birthday day to become a day of hope and meaning": three years to the day after being the victim of a violent assault in Lyon, while defending a couple kissing taken by a group of young people, Marin Sauvajon gave his news, Monday, November 11, in a short video posted on the Facebook page "I support Marin".

Violently hit on the head by a crutch on November 11, 2016, Marin, 20 years old at the time, had almost died. In a coma for two weeks, he finally woke up, to the surprise of the doctors. "Nothing will ever be the same after this terrible aggression of November 11," said the young man today. "For three years I've been living differently, I'm rebuilding myself," he says in his video. "I am trying to find my new place in society and I will soon begin a skills assessment in my center (care, ed) to help me."

"My desire is that what broke me will not happen anymore," he adds. The association created by his family, "La Tete Haute", continues to work to educate young people about good citizenship, but also to help people who are victims of blows to the head.

Thursday, November 14, the young Lyonnais, whose history had moved the whole country, will award the first prize Marin, an award to reward acts of bravery in the Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes region.
