It happened close to the Ponte di Ognissanti. On a taxi, which had been called by a neighbor, the old woman, a long-time widow who lost her daughter last year, reached the Navile station on Friday 31 October.

He told the military, in tears, that he had lost his documents and was unable to get his pension delivered to the post office.

"As soon as I entered the barracks – he told ANSA – I immediately found good people ready to help me. Two soldiers, two young boys, assisted me as if I were their grandmother. They accompanied me to the offices to redo the documents, to ask for my pension and even took me to the supermarket to do the shopping. Now I'm waiting for the new identity card ".
