UFC Raleigh: 'Blaydes vs. Dos Santos' in the main event, Edgar vs. Edgar. Sandhagen 'for the bantamweight debut of' The Answer '

For his Fight Night on January 25, the UFC has formalized its two headliners, with a 'Curtis Blaydes Vs. Junior Dos Santos' in the main event, as well as the debut of Frankie Edgar in bantamweight against Cory Sandhagen.

The map to be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, should be broadcast on ESPN +.

Former UFC lightweight champion, and aspiring to the featherweight title three times, Frankie Edgar will try a new race at the belt in the lower category of bantamweight. His last fight ended in a loss to Max Holloway at UFC 240.

His opponent, Cory Sandhagen, has emerged as a new contender for the 135-pound title after a 5-game winning streak in the Big League where he is still unbeaten. He beat Raphael Assuncao last August.

As for the main event, Blaydes will be looking for a third consecutive win, after those won against Justin Willis in March, then most recently against Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC 242.

For his part, Junior Dos Santos saw his series of three victories in a row stopped by TKO at the UFC on ESPN 3 against Francis Ngannou. He was originally supposed to go up in the octagon at UFC Moscow to challenge Alexander Volkov, but an infection in his leg forced him to forfeit. The former heavyweight champion will finally have the opportunity to revive among the contenders for the title against Blaydes.
