An epidemiological survey has been opened in the Jura, where an abnormal number of children with cancer has been identified, reports Le Progres.
The children are mainly born between 2012 and 2015. They live in five communes around the resort of Les Rousses.
The Regional Health Agency of Burgundy Franche-Comte confirmed: "The ARS Bourgogne-Franche-Comte was informed last July of an unusually high number of cancers affecting children in the population residing in communes of the Haut-Jura (Les Rousses, Morbier, Morez, St. Peter, Premanon) ".

Seizure, Public Health France has launched an epidemiological expertise, obviously looking for "possible explanatory factors".
An information meeting was held on October 14, in the presence of the families concerned.
In Loire-Atlantique, a similar "cluster" of pediatric cancers also exists, says Le Progres.
