French Cup: AS Venus vs racing Besancon

The French Football Federation meets you at Pater stage for the 7th round of the French Football Cup. AS Venus, Tahiti's champion football team, will face the Besancon racing, a team currently ranked 5th in the National 3 (Bourgogne-Franche-Comte league).

AS Venus

This football club is based in Mahina, it was founded in 1945. It is one of the most titled clubs in Polynesia, with AS Central Sport. AS Venus has ten championship titles from Polynesia and won the Polynesia Cup eight times. The Polynesian club also participated three times in the Champions League from Oceania and is qualified for the next edition in 2020. Today, AS Venus is leading the Ligue 1 Vini after five days of championship.

Racing Besancon

The club has a rich history that makes it the second club Franche-Comte, behind Sochaux. He still holds the record for the number of consecutive seasons played in D2: 41 seasons for 1428 games. On 1 July 1986, the RCFC (Racing Club Franc-Comtois Besancon) became the BRC (Besancon Racing Club). Today, racing Besancon continues to perpetuate the historic past of the RCFC and the BRC, more than a hundred years old, and to attract a loyal audience to the Leo Lagrange stadium.
