At the moment the assignment of the Endurance and Reining World Championships has been suspended, pending important decisions regarding the two disciplines, which will have to be voted next November 19th in the framework of the same Moscow General Assembly.
"I am very satisfied – commented the Federal President, Marco Di Paola – for this success of FISE, of Italy and of Equestrian Sports fans. I would like to thank the FEI for the trust, the CONI in the person of the President Giovanni Malago, who spent himself personally to achieve this result, the whole federal team, headed by the General Secretary Simone Perillo and Andrea White, for the enormous work done, the CERC and Cintia Campello. It was an important attestation of trust certainly the result of the success achieved at the previous WEG of 1998, thanks to the Riffeser family and Cesare Croce, to the important work of recovery of a plant appreciated by the whole equestrian world, made by Mauro Checcoli and Emilio Cianfanelli and above all thanks to the Municipality of Rocca di Papa and to the late and heroic mayor Emanuele Crestini, who believed in us and in this incredible adventure. Now let's start working to turn a dream into reality ”.
"A sincere thanks to the FEI – said the Simone Perillo, General Secretary of FISE present in Moscow representing the Italian Equestrian Sport Federation – which wanted to reward Italy's commitment in this marathon towards the 2022 World Championships. Seeing here how many countries were hoping for an assignment to Italy was for us a great source of pride. Now everyone is working to organize an edition that, I am sure, will remain in the history of Italian equestrian sports ".
