New arrival center for refugees in Pankow
In a commercial area a refugee institution has opened. It is related to the future arrival center at the mental hospital.
As a precaution for a possible new wave of refugees in winter, the State Office for Refugee Affairs (LAF) has opened a new arrival center in Pankow. The start of the facility took place on November 8, as the district office now tells. First, 149 out of 250 beds had been occupied. The opening is connected with the preparations for the new country center at the Karl Bonhoeffer mental hospital in Reinickendorf.
