Switzerland is the most attractive country for skilled workers.
This could be the result of a study by the International Institute for Management Development based in Lausanne. The institute has compared 63 countries for its annual World Talent Ranking. Three categories were examined: the investment in their own offspring, the attractiveness of countries in terms of quality of life and wage levels, and how well prepared they are for deploying foreign skilled workers. Overall, according to the result, Switzerland retains the first place it has held for several years. Denmark follows in second place, Sweden takes third place. Sweden has improved by five places because, according to the study authors, the country spends more on education and private companies do more to attract talent. Germany is in eleventh place in the ranking, the USA in twelfth place.
