Berlin. Three pedestrians were seriously injured in various accidents in Berlin on Monday. In all three cases, the women each suffered severe head injuries and were hospitalized for inpatient treatment, the police said.

In an accident in Tempelhof late Monday afternoon, a motorist (31) with his vehicle turned left from the Friesenstrabe in the Columbiadamm. He was driving a 72 year old senior citizen crossing the road.

In the district of Wilhelmstadt, at around 5.30 pm, a 44-year-old female pedestrian was caught in the car of a 22-year-old. This turned from the Wilhelmstrabe right into Heerstrabe. Shortly after a pedestrian light he collided with the woman who passed the lane.

At about the same time, an 88-year-old elderly woman in Altglienicke on the SchOnefelder Chaussee was seriously injured. A motorist (58) collided with the elderly woman at the height of Siriusstrabe. The woman bumped against the windshield of the vehicle and then crashed onto the road. In addition to serious injuries to the head, the woman also suffered leg injuries.
