Video surveillance cameras in Mexico City captured a man who appeared to be food delivery per application, but actually he was stealing bicycles.
The Secretariat of Citizen Security detected one of the robberies, which occurred on September 13 on Avenida Juarez, Cuauhtemoc City Hall.
The images show the subject walking with an orange backpack with the logo of the rappi company.
The man approaches a bicycle that was chained. In seconds, take a pair of tweezers, cover them with a jacket and cut the vehicle insurance.
Then he puts the backpack on his back, tackles the bike and leaves the place.
Monitoring of the capital police reported the robbery, so agents of the Central Sector began an operation to find the thief.
Just a few minutes, police officers blocked his way and stopped him streets ahead, where the stolen bicycle was recovered. The 44-year-old detainee was transferred to the agency of the Public Ministry of the Treasury in Cuauhtemoc.
