About thirty wineries and estates of the metropolis gather on the Esplanade, these Friday, 22 and Saturday, November 23, on the occasion of the 16th edition of the Feast of the vines.
To respect what has become a tradition, the couple will discover a new vintage, the cuvee Parre-Loup, a blend of carignan, grenache and syrah, during this sixteenth edition.
Like the Lacombe family, thirty-three other estates and wineries meet on the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, from 10 am to 8 pm. For 3 €, visitors will receive a wine glass and a coupon entitling them to three tastings of their choice.
Since the creation of the event, the revenue generated by the sale of the tickets has been entirely donated to a charity. Since 2006, and again this year, the funds will be donated to Sidaction.
After two days on the Esplanade, the party continues Sunday in nineteen areas, wineries and farmhouses that have chosen to open their doors.

A difficult year because of the drought
The sixteenth edition of the Fete des Vignes opens in a delicate context for the majority of the vine growers of the metropolis. "Because of the heat stroke at the end of June and the drought that followed, we lost 35% of yield," says Benoît Lacombe "It is a very good year in terms of quality, because the grapes were very healthy and very ripe. but a bad year in quantitative terms. "
Still in Montpellier, Pierre de Colbert, winemaker at Flaugergues castle, confirms that the year "was not really festive, with 40% losses. We will have to get used to it." Despite these lower yields , the two winemakers in Montpellier participate in the party in a positive spirit. "It is an opportunity to share our passion, to taste a lifestyle", summarizes Noemie Lefebvre, responsible for the tourist animation of the castle Flaugergues.
