After several meetings, finally the National Chamber of Autotransport, Passage and Tourism (Canapat) in the State of Mexico gave its arm to twist and gave up all the criminal complaints that it had filed against the students of the Normal Rural de Teneria " Lazaro Cardenas del Rio "in exchange for the release of the 21 drivers and the units they had held since November 14.
The delegate of the Canapat, Odilon Lopez Nava, mentioned that the students only promised to release the units in exchange for the withdrawal of complaints and the exit of the prison of one of their classmates and this Friday they began to let the drivers go, until now 17 have left and four still remain within the premises of the Normal.
He added that they only had the support of the state government and no one else was added to the negotiations for the release despite the fact that the problem was known and that nobody needed an invitation and taking into account that the school is federal, federal terminals and federal plates .
At this moment there are 17 operators, since the relief begins to arrive somewhat, we are confident that the remaining four operators will be released in the next few hours and, well, given the circumstances, the risk and, above all, the threat of not having clear the physical integrity of the operators, that was what moved us and moved us to have to do situations that we would not have wanted to do, "said Lopez Nava.
